Mark Welch, Chief Operating Officer

An MBA graduate of Durham University, Mark brings a wealth of Board experience from the clinical and leisure retail sector. In Mark’s previous role as Group Operations and People Director for the Pets at Home Vet Group, he was responsible for growing the UK’s largest and the World’s fastest growing Vet Group. Mark was also part of a £1.8B IPO with Pets at Home in 2014.

Mark has also held various roles within the leisure industry as well as holding several senior roles with national and regional companies he was also a Board Director of the British Institute of Innkeeping as well as being a voluntary Business Mentor for start up businesses in the NW of England.

Mark is currently COO of Portman Healthcare the UK’s largest and and fastest growing privately focused dental group.
