Portman Dental Care is a business that has long championed the need for a shift in attitudes. We learn and grow together in how we listen, respect, interact and behave to each other, our patients and the wider community. We come together and embrace difference and we support each other through this evolution. We respect and embrace individuality through our many differences and we let our individuality shine and unite us with our unique personality, that makes us who we are!
In 2021 we set out to define “the Portman Way”: the story of what it means to be Portman and what matters to us, to discover the essence of why we exist as a business, our ambitions for the organisation and for ourselves and the things which are important to all of us.
So having launched “the Portman Way” in October 2022, we are now excited to celebrate one of our new values 'We Respect Individuality' of which International Women’s Day is an important celebration and reflection of what we value and support.
For International Women's Day 2023, there will be a series of events to mark the occasion.
What we are doing to promote #respectindividuality?
Helen Butler - Reward Manager, Hattie Forkin - Portfolio Manager, Martha Oliver - Project Manager, Sophie Sutcliffe - Head of Technology Performance and Transformation on why we #respectindividuality.
“Our business thrives because of the incredible people who work here; their dedication, and constant display of the values that make us special. A large proportion (93%) of our business are women; driving our practices, treating and caring for our patients, leading our operations teams and running our UK & Ireland business. This International Women’s Day, we want everyone in the business to join us in supporting this year’s #respectindividuality campaign so that we can lead the way in addressing gender imbalance. We all deserve to live and work in a world that is free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.”
