Aidan qualified as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Dundee in 1987. He obtained his MFGDP in 2001 and his Diploma in Restorative Dentistry in 2008, both from The Royal College of Surgeons. His first dentistry roles were in Alnwick and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. After working as an associate in Dunfermline (Fife) he moved to Aberdeenshire in 1993, establishing Westhill Dental Practice in 1988 as the associate dentist. The practice joined Portman Dental Care in 2019. 

Outside of work Aidan enjoys watching sports and looking after his family’s sheep and horses, as well as supporting their golfing and equestrian pursuits.
