Darren qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1995. He has worked in a variety of sectors and most recently as financial director at Pegasus Retirement Homes and the London and Devonshire Trust, before joining Portman Dental Care in 2012. Darren now has overall responsibility for financial strategy and shareholder relations for the wider group.
Darren thinks PortmanDentex is a great place to work as every day is different and there is always something new, interesting and challenging to get stuck into. He believes it’s the people that make PortmanDentex what it is and particularly enjoys the fun, engaging and rewarding culture.
Darren very nearly became a dentist and had secured a place at Bristol University, but a few weeks before starting he changed to a business degree. He's really pleased to be working back in the dentistry world. Darren is sports mad and if he can get anywhere on a bike – he will!
